Default Banging noise

I have a 2010 mondeo titanium 2.0l tdci.
all of a sudden today when i restarted the car after turning it off it started a banging noise . when i pushed the clutch down the pedal kind of came up halfway only I had to pull it all the way with my foot it has got noisy today nothing before except when accelerating it had started to make a growling noise like it was driving to slow in a high gear.
Power wise it is ok but I took it easy driving back home any idea's please

Probably a clutch, gearbox or driveshaft / prop shaft issue. Just get a garage to look at it if you are unsure of what to look at

Hopefully it is just a clutch release bearing or something small

Lucky for me I have a lifetime warranty when I brought the car in December last year they did a lifetime warranty instead of their 3 month limited warranty which was their Christmas present pitch sales gimmic to sell more cars lol. I had the option to upgrade from 300 per claim to 500 so I did that.
so luckily I am covered for this thing and many others too just hope it can be done tomorrow and ready for me lol as we have our neice for the weekend but glad that I have another 5 days off before going back to work too

I take it they told u that the clutch plate itself isn't covered under warranty as it's a wear and tear item.
