Mk3 fiesta - Zetec turbo questions

I have a base model mk3 fiesta, in burgundy, plastic bumpers ect. It looks proper ugly
it has a totally standard 2.0 silvertop Zetec engine with a standard mk3 fiesta gearbox- with an omex 600 ecu,oil cooler, motorbike throttle bodies and a an Ashley 4 branch manifold with a stainless exhaust system.
it has Avo coilovers, team dynamics 15 inch alloys, adjustable lower arms and Willwood 4 pot front brakes and 280mm discs.
can I fit an RS Turbo LSD into a Ford Ka IB5 gearbox and use this with a hydraulic clutch conversion?
If so, what clutch and flywheel do I need?
can I keep my silver top head and sump, and fit it to an ST170 bottom end with ARP rod bolts and a Focus RS head gasket and just fit an oil return into the sump? But use the valve springs from the ST170?
I was going to use a standard Mk1 Focus rs inlet manifold, exhaust manifold and turbo, I already have a pro-alloy front mount inter cooler with fans from my old series 2, and was going to get an aluminium radiator.
Any advise or anything I have mentioned that won’t work?

i believe you can fit the s2 rst lsd into the ib5 box but i could be mistaken. clutch would probably be an upgraded fiesta turbo one? you can use the cvh efi flywheel with the bolt holes enlarged, or use a 1.8 zetec one and i think the clutch may fit directly onto it.
keeping the silver top head would be more of a ballache than it's worth. the st170 valve springs won't fit it as the cotters on the silvertop are single groove and a different angle to the 3 groove ones of the blacktop and st170. The timing belt tensioner setup is also different. The silvertop sump and windage tray can work but you may need modified bolts or spacers to hold the tray at the correct distance from the crank. the inlet gasket may also not seal on the silvertop due to the port shape being slightly different. your best bet is to just get a blacktop head as they're cheap and much easier to fit!

Know nothing about zetecs but yes you can fit an s2 rst diff into an ib5 box - in short the diff needs a light skimming to fit the ib5 crownwheel and also one of the bearings is a different size.
Maybe better fitting a new off the shelf LSD.

Ok, so il just buy an aftermarket LSD for the IB5 Ka box.
and as for the engine, get an ST170 engine. Keep the bottom end and the sump, and just take the valve springs and fit into a normal 2.0 blacktop head?
Does the blacktop engine mount exactly the same as the silvertop? What differences are there?

from the donor the silver top had a big cast banana going across the front of the engine. This mounted to more castings that bolt to the block.
With the Blacktop its intergrated into the timing belt cover. St170is slightly differant but the bits are interchangeable. The holes on the mount are wider to clear the bulge from the vvt pulley.

Have a look at Sabre tuning. They are getting well over that on the standard manifold. And more to the point the standard ecu.
The Rs manifold has two extra support brackets between the idle valve and the manifold bolts. Even with this you can actually see the manifold bulge under boost. There is another stiffening bracket across the injectors.
The silvertop manifold looks like the Blacktop but they are not the same the silvertop uses side feed injectors. The Rs uses a silvertop style alloy throttle body. Again this doesn’t fit the Blacktop manifold hence ford making up the adapter.
Edit don’t get the last of the Blacktop manifolds that looks like two half’s glued to gether.

So- so far, I have an ST170 engine (for the bottom end and valve springs), Focus stage 1 GT26 Focus RS turbo, downpipe and tubular manifold, front mount inter cooler with fans, metal Zetec thermostat housing.
I need ARP rod bolts, a black top 2.0 head, cam belt kit, water pump and inlet manifold and updated injectors, and then an IB5 Ka gearbox with a paddle clutch and hydraulic clutch conversion, and an RS Turbo LSD, modify the sump for driveshaft clearance and oil breather and return modifications, then the engine can go in I think...
any advise ir comments before I go any further?

Why you using the blacktop head when the st170 head has larger valves and is far better flowing than any other zetec head in both standard form and tuned.

What’s up with keeping the vvt is it because you’ll need an aftermarket ecu?

It’s more the combination of the St bottom end with the Bt top end and the thicker gasket that gives a budget but more capable motor.
The st bottom end has fatter rod bolts and a bigger gudgeon pin with a bit more meat around the piston crowns. All the week points of the Blacktop.
The bt top end has milder cams that suit a mid power turbo with plenty of breathing capability for the job in hand with stiffer inlet valve springs from the St.
The st head breaths better but this is not the limiting factor at the aimed power level. Then you have the higher compression, more duration and lift from the inlet cam than is needed and the hassle of properly managing the vvt. You get none of this with the bt head.
This is not a 500hp capable engine, it is a diy budget motor.

Il be using an IB5 gearbox and a 220mm efi flywheel. With 280 - 300bhp, what’s the best clutch to use? Anything else over a cp2000 AP racing RST clutch?

As a budget build just use a complete engine in the states they are get 250 /300 bhp running a low blow 7 psi on standard svt/st170 engines.
