Questions, Questions, Questions!
Hi Chaps, got a few questions that i need answers for - hopefully i can get them here???
Firstly, what oil do you use for the front diff of a 4x4 saph cossie?
Secondy, where are the fill up points for the oil on the front diff and gearbox, and how much shoud be put in?
Thirdly, anyone know where i can download the workshop manual for the Cossie, as i was given a scanned copy of it from someone on this site a couple of years ago but when i changed jobs i bloody lost it!
any help with the above would be appreciated!

there isn't a drain plug on a 4x4 front sump, thats a fill and level checking hole.
to drain it, you undo the 8 10mm head bolts on the plate on the bottom, then clean all the swarf and bits off and re silicone it back on, before usingthe allen key bung to refill it

Here you go:
A = GEARBOX fill point, use gear oil *EP 75/90 capacity: 1.2 to 1.4 litres
B = GEARBOX drain point.
C = TRANSFER BOX fill point, use ATF (auto transmission fluid) capacity: .5 to .6 litre
D = TRANSFER BOX drain point (can only be seen on pics 3 & 4).
* Or you can use MT-75 oil from your Ford dealer parts dept.

you can end up with them blowing a seal out - a little over thoug will more than likely just be blown out of the breather... its not hard not to over fill though, just measure it out BEFORE filling it up
