I have taken the door window out of my saff to replace. How the fook do they go back on the runners?

did you take the metal channel off with the glass or just pull the glass out of the channel ?

I took the channel off with the glass. Can you take the channel off then sit the glass into it?

the channel should stay on the glass in correct position or it will be a nightmare to refit in situ, Iirc the channel came in 2 types one had a hole and the other a groove, if its the one with a groove you pop the plastic slider clip off the mech ball and place it into the channel groove on the glass, then simply align the mech ball socket & clip and squeeze with grips, been some years since I did one but unless my minds playing tricks on me that what I used to do

Can you buy the balls separate from the mechanism?

should be welded onto the mech arms never came seperate only the plastic sliders did but tbh dont even know if they are available nowadays

really dont know if you can still get them new, traders like gary @ rs classics must have loads as they are same on nearly all sierras used to cost pence back in the day
