Default Mk1 FRS clutch slave cylinder fitting

Can anyone confirm if the FRS uses a different fitting on the slave cylinder than other mk1 focuses?

I have the hose from a standard focus as shown in pic but the silver end doesn't fit either the slave or the master cylinder?

The FRS should use the same M/C as the 2.0 Petrol Focus. The 14/16/18 use a different gearbox and different master cylinders

use a brake flaring kit to flare and fit the correct end to your existing pipe

I'm pretty sure a 2.0 focus uses the same slave cylinder.
If it does then bingo!

Ok thanks. Was at scrappies yesterday and every one I went to looked the same. Pretty sure there was a 2,0 mk1 focus there that I checked.
Is there anywhere I can buy the fitting new online or will it be a ford only part?

I believe the FRS slave cylinder and release bearing are a unique item to the FRS

I think your correct its a unique item to the focus rs the pipe you need has two of the same ends. the pic you posted its the darker fitting for both ends.
I had the silver end machined to be the same as the dark end so i could then screw what ever pipe i liked in

I butchered the pipe up and welded the fitting to an aeroquip one I'm afraid.

Nothing unusual. Ford don't make half their stuff, just slap a ford logo or motorcraft name on it. Same as any big manufacturer. Thats why its often to just stick with the big name OE brands as chances are they made the original anyway (Bosch/Lucas etc)
