Default el. boost control question

question for those with an electronic backround. ive seen that firms use the mac 35a 3 port valve in their boost control appications. can i use the same valve with a simple potentiometer or voltage regulator to adjust the opening of the valve . other any ideas about diy el.boost controlers?

No mate, BCS are normally PWM like an ICV.... The negative/earth is pulsed, faster the pulse the more it opens.

Yes. Buy a cheap boost controller, or use your ecu to control it ( presuming you have an ecu that can )

A better question might be, what exactly are you trying to do ?

If you want cheap, just use a mechanical bleed valve.

A mechanical bleed valve in conjunction with a sensible actuator, is still a pretty effective option.

And accurate compared to what ?

Are you experiencing a problem with the boost ?
