Default Whats all this about? drilling crossover pipe?

Basicly I am talking to the lad I got the car off and he is saying that when I get my crossover pipe without the dump valve I will need to drill a hole and screw a pipe into it!

I have got a pic of my dirty engine bay (its how I got it, not had chance to clean it yet)

It is the small pipe just above the ford badge to the right...

He is saying this is for the chip so it doest run lean and melt a piston...

Whats it all about?

Nope you won't need to drill any holes in it all. Ignore him he is a plum

The only holes needed are the big ones at either end and one at the top near the throttle body for the sensor.

If you are ditchin the other DV you will need to replace the pipe that the vacume is T'd into (or a short term fix is to chop the vacume hose short and push a screw into it and then a zip tie round it)

where does the lead go too, to me it looks like possibly like some sort of charge air temp sensor? trace where it leads too and then let us know an we can maybe work out from there has the car got an ACT guage by any chance? what power is the engine??? raising the fuel pressure doubt it lol

The guy I got it off reckons it is for the Bayjoo chip!
I reckon it is only 140-150 at the minute
I dont have an ACT gauge, just a boost one! I will follow the pipe as soon as it is light and do it but the guy is certain it is to raise the pressure.....

I might just test the fookin pressure by putting a match on the cnut

Turn your boost down.

Fuck weather you find it slow or your mates do to.

Just turn it down to about 6-8psi. It will be shit, really shit.

BUT
The fueling will be ok for this boost and you are unlikely to blow it up.

Regardless of what you do if u fit another cross over pipe and remove both dump valves it will consume more air as it leaks less and could run lean regardless.
