Anyone noticed how there's virtually none of these for sale these days?! Used to be all over the place....I have to keep bloody fixing mine when it warps.... All these skims it'll soon be non existent!! Haha.
Just can't stand it blowing. Surely people still use them for cheap zetec turbo builds?!
Rant Over.

Surely it's easier and cheaper to drill the head to fit the cvh manifould. ? Or buy a zetec manifould flange and have it welded onto you cvh one rather than messing about with adaptor plates?

Drilling the head breaks into an oilway and can be a twat to get to seal so not ideal.
Adapter plate is the easiest route for less than confident people and works 100% of the time... You can't fuck it up!

And welding a cast manifold to a steel zetec flange is hard to get right without the cast going brittle!

As crazy cage says, if fitting the adaptor plates or rst manifolds it would most likely be for a budget build
Mine has the HO inlet set up with rst exhaust manifold but I will never reach the limit they can flow because I'm on stock rods so I'm limited to around 240/250bhp
But if I was chasing numbers it would have a frs tubular manifold and gt30 fitted and area six inlet
