do you think this could give future problems because the valves have touched a bit mate?

Shouldn't do anything majors. Just keep an eye, if it starts to play up proper in future a head rebuild would be in order. Never worked on one that had come back after that happening though so honestly couldn't say.

How did you lock it up to remove and tighten the bottom pulley bolt?

proper heavy duty inch airgun [the type trucks mechanics use to get it off and took the starter off and jammed the flywheel putting it back on

If its got compression it will be fine
