AA or RAC?
Well seeing as Clive will be back on the road soon, i need to get another years membership to one of these!
I know ya all have varying opinions!

errr, dont think i was planning on it!!
When i last broke down on the way back from Bristol, the AA took Agggggggggggggggggggggessssss!!!!

aria, dont forget with the AA they now offer a free courtesy car if yours breaks down
oooohhhh thats handy!! althought **fingers crossed** clive wont be breakign down that often!

Been with the AA fir years... and although the fee is a bit steep, it usually is worth it from the first breakdown. Have also extended the cover when we take cars to europe and have had to use them once, no problem.
They did take ages to come to us once when we were in Cornwall... but then again, they couldn't find us!!! And we didn't have a clue where we were.... But they made it eventually!!

I locked my keys in my Transit at the Leeds Music Festival last year 
The AA refused to come out and help because it wasn't a car, and demanded an extra 70 quid to pay for a low loader, even though I just wanted the keys back. Anyways, whist I was arguing with the jobs worth on the phone, and RAC man turned up and asked what the problem was, so I told him. No probs he said, and went onto unlock the van for me, for free, even though I was with the AA. I paid him with a six pack instead

i'm with the RAC and can't really complan always very nice people, called themout 3 times last year on 3 differnt cars only thing i wasn't happy about was when a caliper failed on the old fiesta and when i spoke to them i told them it was lowered and may need a low lowder but they didn't take any notic and when they arrived after waiting for an hour i hat to wait another hour for the low lowder to arrive after they discovered they couldn't tow it.

Apparently the RAC come out to Women as priority, so if a man on his own has been waiting 4 hours for them, and you call and your on your own, they will come to you instead!! The joys of being a woman

My fella is with the AA, wen his car broke down, he told them it was lowered, but they sent a truck that the car wouldn't go on, then we had to wait another 4 hours or sumat for that truck to turn un - in all we'd been waiting about 6 hours before they turned up.....engine had gone in his car so we couldn't keep it running to stay warm, and it was like the middle of winter......only time I ever had to deal with them....

Well i just got back a couple of hours ago from being recovered by the RAC this morning after the cos decided it didnt like the heavy rain . Been with them for a few years and have never had any bother. They dont like trying to fix Cosworths though, which i dont mind really as i'd rather have it recovered to a garage of my choice to get repaired anyway 
. Any time ive mentioned Cosworth when ive phoned they just ask me where i'd like to go

Neither,try Brittania Rescue,should be a lot cheaper. Been with them 2 years or so and the service has been excellent(used them twice so far). Had some appalling service from the RAC in the past,i will NEVER rejoin. Took 4 hours to turn up when my turbo water pipe fractured. Wouldn't want to wait that long on your own in the middle of nowhere would ya?

not with the RAC myself but the old man is an ive just used his card jst need to forge a signiture lol. never had any probs even use it on mates cars when they brake down an it takes them home aswell as me,
Also called them out to a mates car who had broken down outside his house but told them it was jst a random house we were waiting in no complaints at all with them.

rac do recover your motors if you have a mishap on a track day
so thay told me but not only that thay sell you a battery when you
dont need it

I was with the AA for years and couldn't fault them, then last year they hiked up their prices and the service became a lot poorer than in previous years so when they sent thru my renewal and tried to charge me an extra £30 I told them to stick it.
RAC would be my choice out of the two.
