Default Fiesta mk5 zetec s 2ltr zetec conversion

Hi all

Building a 2ltr zetec blacktop turbo lump and was thinking about putting it in a zetec s mk5 as they handle brilliantly my question is will it sit in the zetec s engine mounts or will it be a custom jobbie?

Thanks in advance Andy

Thinking I might 2.0 black top mine. Use a fiesta courier diesel box, the its only the driver mount to make.

Recon with a bit of loom chopping you could run the std ecu aswell.

They may handle brilliantly as standard, but bare in mind how much extra weight you'll be carting around with the turbo/manifold/intercooler/pipework etc etc!

Good luck with it though mate.

Cheers for info guys

I'm torn between mk6 escort or a mk5 fiesta

Zippy is it an easy mount to make? You got any pics of one?

Yeah it might effect handling a little bit but extra weight at front will help with traction

I honestly don't see the point in these puma conversions don't they only gain 25bhp from the conversion?

I suppose it would be a lot easier to fit in an escort but you've got to find one that isnt rotten lol

Mk1 focus is an option and easiest one to do they do handle ok the other halfs got 1.6 and it does handle well. But I prefer older fords really that's why I'm more tempted by an escort plus itl be more of a sleeper even more so if I go for a 5 door ghia haha
