Default Cheap engine management options...

I have come across a few different names of programmable ECU kits and I'm wondering what all of your experiences are?

The type I'd want are the ones that will do 4cyl, electronic ignition (crank sensor), and obviously injection.

The very best bang for buck at the bottom end of the price scale is an MS2/3 ECU from www.boostmonkeys.co.uk

That depends....how good do you need it to be ?

You're requirements were as basic as any would ever be, and it will easily do that task.

Yes it's Mega Squirt mate, but built by pick and place robots and then conformal coated rather than hand soldered by a hobbyist in a shed! lol
MS3 for example will do everything any of the more expensive alternatives can do.
It's more about how well a car is mapped these days rather than what's the 'best' management, as I always say choose your tuner and go with what they recommend as they will be the ones using it.

Thanks very much for the info. Do you know if anti lag is mappable with one of these then? I assume it is as basically it just over fuels and retards on the overrun (am I right? Ish?)
