Default mk4 fiesta 2l conversion??

hi all, got a mk4 fiesta currently running a puma engine, its ok but just doesnt have enough go. and tuning parts are expensive for not a great gain. has anyone ever put a 2.0 zetec into a mk4? or could someone tell me if it would drop in with standard shafts etc? and help would be appericated.

Rs2000 lump unless your going turbo route would be your best bet

The Puma lumps are only 5bhp less than the Zetec-E, and the 2l's are heavier, so pointless really unless you're going to turbo it. Wouldn't bother with the RS2000 i4 lump, for N/A the 2l Duratec's are better, lighter and have much more accessible parts for modifying/repair.

My Fiesta didn't have a 2l in it, but as far as I know it's relatively easy to do, just mounts need modifying/custom making. Then management etc. but if you're going to turbo it you'll be running standalone I take it? Also at higher power gearboxes become a problem, as the ib5's aren't the strongest!

Yes going to run it on fiesta turbo management. Does the ib5 gearbox fit the 2 litre then?
