Default Flamer when stationary?

I am thinking about getting the flamer working that was on the cossie when I bought it, do these this work standing still, if you rev them? Does the gap etc on the plug need to be anything special?

Its not worked since I bought the car, but ive not put much into getting it working

Great, going to try that now, but..... If I am pushing the loud pedal how do I see the flame????

Could stand the kids behind the car?

Set up a video camera?

Park up against the garage and see the scorch marks?

Well as it does it on the over run - rev the bugger right up then leg it to the back of the car as the revs die back

But I run around with a baby seat and a booster seat in the back of mine, does that still make me a boy racer?

yeah i got a baby seat in mine too, there the fasion item for all cossies as by the time we can afford to insure em we have got kids

rhys the point i was making was the comment about flamer kits, i think there gayer that mike r and keithG666 in heaven night club dressed in leather police uniforms but then i own a boy racer car and love the performance of it, some people like the image of it and some people like to show off too with there flamer kits

but not having a flamer kit shows ya comfortable with your sexuality and thats the main thing ( notice keithG666 has removed his when he came out the closet

That all begs another question, I bought the cossie last year to replace my wrx, all the people at work thought the wrx was a nice car, and the since getting the cossie I am a boy racer no matter what I say.

The cossie was bought for performance the same as the wrx but I get instantly branded as a boy racer for owning a cossie, and I cant even remember the last time is cruised down md's or empty car parks.

So i dont think the flamer will hurt matters

Cool, does the spark plug matter? As the one that is in there is quite small dont think it is the original one for the kit

the gap on the spark plug has to be right or you will not get
a tidy flame it may take about 10 mins to get it right mate

Flamer tips!

On my car (the one in Doug's / Exeter J's pics above) the way it was set up / fuels meant it flamed a lot on the overrun anyway - boot it in 3rd and back off and it used to flame for ages.

I (and by I, I mean Phil2400 ) fitted the flamer kit recently and it's mad now - it flames all the time it switched on no problem. To get car park flames, make sure the zorst is warm (ie rag the hell out of the car for a few mins, then park up and light up!)

First off rev the car high (ensuring you're in neutral ) then allow it to run down on it's own, just as it starts 'burbling/slightly flaming' you then need to slightly touch the throttle again, to allow a bit of air in there - result = the big flames shown above.

Like I said depends how the car is set up - if it runs on the rich side on overrun then you're well away. Gap wise, I just used a plug that was lying around, an old cossie one at a 'normal' gap setting. The coil is a £10 one from Halfords.

Some people on here may think it's a bit :gayflag: but if you make good flames 90% of the people will look on gobsmacked. It's sad but fun, so why not...

Plus it's great doing it on the open road, after overtaking a 'fast' car - you shoot by and flame them on the gear change - F40 stylee.

Cheers Si
