There's a few different manifold lengths, you might need the shorter one

the reason is for being limp wristed, confused and possibly a little bit Bi

i havent any pics but i did mod the heater box and put a filter on the bonnet before the pics i have but i binned it as it kept getting wet as the car was my daily!

that could be an option if you do want to be gay? sorry i mean Bi, sorry........ careful.......

u put a filter on the bonnet, that to me sounds retarded itself. if i find a decent way of retaining both heater motor and filter il be sure to let u no so u can become whole again as i can see a big part of u died wen u had to bin ur soggy filter!

sorry if i cam accross rude, it wasnt meant....

i solved the filter issue (mine had Dunnell filter) by removing it and trying the bonnet jobbie

what about sock filters on trumpets?
maby held in place by lock wire if your on short trumpets?

job done?

i basicaly chopped the dunnell filter up, and fitted it inside the "grooves" on the bonnet, if you see what i mean? and cable tied it in place by drilling 10 holes in the bonnet recess

running no filters will not cause any issues, i ran that engine for nearly 2 years at 8krpm limmiter flat out every day where possible

dont forget carbs cause spit back, and make things catch fire, ask the mk2 boys!
my mk2 did this and luckily i caught it and extinguished it before it went up in flames
hence why i dont like filters on carbs

this was the after pic, had to replace the servo/master cyl and repaint the innerwings black due to the spit back fire

and LOL @ having to post a comeback without crying

high 5 fella
