Default Focus wont start?

Hi everyone, new to this so go easy if its in the wrong place, iv got a ford focus 1.6 zetec se, it has overheated not massively but had to stop car, i put in a new thermostat and a cylinder head temperature sensor but still nothing, its had new coil, leads and plugs but still no spark, the engine light was on so i plugged in my code reader and it came up with following faults:

P1289 Cylinder head temp sens circ high input
P1299 Cylinder head over temp protection active
P0302 Cylinder 2 misfire detected

Is there any way the ECU will shut down the engine to stop it starting if its not fixed?
If yes how do i get it sorted?

PLEASE HELP!!

I dont THINK they will but you never know, it could be it thinks the engines so warm it wont send enough fuel into the engine to start it from cold but I'm guessing a bit here, did see this once on an impreza, symptoms were that the cooling fans came on immediately as you turned the key as if the engine was warm.
On the focus it looks like a big bolt with a wiring it and actually just measures the temperature in the engine bay to control the fans, start by looking at that first fella.

Does your fuel pump prime when you turn the key.

When a focus starts to overheat, it will shut down 2 cylinders and use them as air pumps to try and get rid of as much heat as possible. The over heat warning light will come on. If it continues to get hotter the light will start to flash and the engine will shut itself down. Once cool it should restart.

First off as said, does the fuel pump prime when the ignition is switched on?

This only applies on ST170's and is a total bodge lol, Ford even used a cable tie to secure it, (I believe some early models may have had it also) the fan control on other models is via the temp sender.

My 1999 1.6 had the sensor tied to the battery box. both that and the cht sensor will make the fans come on, the fans don't just rely on the under bonnet sender.

But the later models do not have that, they just use the CHT sensor as the sole control.

the coreplugs/washer jets fill the 1.6 plug galleyways up with water and fuck the leads, burn out coilpacks/make them literaly explode in extreme instances, and the CHT sensor and wiring short out, too much resistance makes it think its red hot and not let it run

have a look at that first, currosion or harness or broken/disconected plug on CTS between no.2/3 cyls
