Hi everyone, new to this so go easy if its in the wrong place, iv got a ford focus 1.6 zetec se, it has overheated not massively but had to stop car, i put in a new thermostat and a cylinder head temperature sensor but still nothing, its had new coil, leads and plugs but still no spark, the engine light was on so i plugged in my code reader and it came up with following faults:
P1289 Cylinder head temp sens circ high input
P1299 Cylinder head over temp protection active
P0302 Cylinder 2 misfire detected
Is there any way the ECU will shut down the engine to stop it starting if its not fixed?
If yes how do i get it sorted?

I dont THINK they will but you never know, it could be it thinks the engines so warm it wont send enough fuel into the engine to start it from cold but I'm guessing a bit here,did see this once on an impreza, symptoms were that the cooling fans came on immediately as you turned the key as if the engine was warm.
On the focus it looks like a big bolt with a wiring it and actually just measures the temperature in the engine bay to control the fans,start by looking at that first fella.
