had my car on the rollers last week only yo find it was holding 25 psi when the boost gauge was reading only 21.

I had a TIM guage years ago that told me I was boosting at 1bar and the first time it went for a tune up I found it was running 11psi. Some 3.5psi out. Least it was an over reading guage and not an under reading one

yeah my boost gauge was all over the shop the other day when Tom Scarlett was sorting my car out. The oil gauge he was using was always reading the same boost where as my one went anything from 15 - 20+ psi
Anyone know any good spot on boost gauges that can fit into a twin piller pod?

Autometer ones are pukka.
Seem to remember my bro having to mod his slightly to get it to fit in his A pillar pod. His was on a FRST though so you may be fine

must say do like my SPA digital one. loads of features like high boost limit light and low oil press light.
you can change it to read in bar or psi.
lights up green or red.
recall your max and averges.
you can link up other external lights and sensors to it too.
very accurate as it works off proper electronic sensors. no vaccum pipes etc.
accurate to 0.0001 psi while tested at 232psi so the spec sheet says.

I think the reason the mechanical gauges are often inaccurate is due to them being sensitive. Eventually the high / low pressure cycles will cause the metal to change its properties. I think most are not very accurate to start with.
I use map sensors for my display, as most are quite accurate. I have found that even secondhand sensors still are very accurate, even after a many years of use. (within 0.5 psi !!!!)
The webber sensors are best, being normally accurate to 1%.
I find that the GM map sensors are not very nice at all! - lots of variation on each one!
Whenever you buy any display, gauge etc, it is best to use one with the lowest possible range, 1% error on a 2 bar gauge is less than 1% error on a 3 bar guage!
