how can that be possible? it's like saying someone can run faster than someone else!!!!
Danny asked Karl for his expert opinion, Karl said that you cannot map a car on the RR its best done on the road in real life conditions, Karl live mapped a Escort Cosworth and made X amount of power and torque, Danny bought said Escos and put it on the RR and Luke added some spark and took some fuel out and it supposedly made more power and torque than when Karl live mapped it, Karl said he wasn't going to post any more.

i would expect the first set to have a lot of tiny indentations in them and the stress of these being created will have transferred through the rods to the crank and bearings, and the second set would probably have gone soft with the heat and changed their appearance to perhaps look a bit 'aerated'

I have been saying for years why I would never recommend a RR for final mapping. It is an ideal diagnostic tool, but cannot in any shape or form represent either the load or air flow achieved at 180mph! FACT!
What this means is that people who have their cars mapped on a RR must accept that det is a real risk when using the car in the real world. FACT!
what do you know about it? you're wrong if the airflow and temperature is good, danny says so

The fan in the dyno cell was always good and the cool air drawn from outside blown straight in front of the main cooling fan..the cell was always good for that especially when in horsham...
that's alright then, no worries about temperature on that dyno then. oh hang on...

From what I can gather excess heat can cause it, maybe its time to bring out a quote from Luke whilst he was mapping it and before he gave it his last blast on the rollers he said" I better let it cool down for a bit as its getting fucking hot" which he did and had a fag and cuppa then proceeded.
