Default Recommend me a fuel pump

I've got a turbo technics 2.8 xr4i and am replacing just about every bit of the fuelling and electrical side at the moment, what's a good fuel pump to use? Is there an uprated one available?been told an 044 pump is no good, whis was a surprise, or will a new standard xr4i pump from eBay etc work ok? It will never be mega power but I want it to last so renewing as much as I can, thanks

Speak to KMI Petrol Injection. Bosch MFI gurus. They could recommend you a pump, or build you a tailored one

Kmi built my warm up reg to stage 3 spec so good shout, have heard msd sell a decent pump. Was told the 044 wasn't very good at 5 bar, but I always thought they were badass pumps, had one on my old saff

So you are going to take max power in 2bar boost?

What turbos are you using?

yes the 044 pump isn't recommended for over 5BAR, but that could be 2BAR boost with a base setting of 3BAR fuel pressure static.
nothing wrong with them, and they can run more than that
you could try to get a 413 pump, you can only get them if you are a motorsport team as Bosch will not sell to anyone off the street or motorfactors etc. they are fully tested to 8BAR and the relief valve is set to 10-11BAR IIRC, they flow the same as the 044 (they are infact uprated 044 pumps), but hold higher pressures due to the hand built finish and some uprated internal parts. they can be bought second hand though, just got one from a wrc team through one of their engineers for £75, bargain of the week considering it was fitted for one event as a primary pump and then fitted but not used as a secondary before removal.

Single standard turbo, this will never be over 300 bhp, closer to 200 by a long way, so, the 044 will do, but is this a tad overkill? Anything else? New standard Cosworth pump?

a 941 will do, 2wd cosworth one.
next up would be a 979, then the 044 then 413.
300bhp would be simple for a 941 one to achieve, i used one for a while on a zvh punting 23psi without issue, then changed over to a 979 just about to change up to a 413 as it's time to ensure i can keep the power coming.
