Default Anyone fitted an as plenum to a 3dr cossie?

Just wondering has anyone fitted an AS plenum to a 3dr cossie? Do the same problems still exsist as with the hart plenums where the brake pipe is fouled and will require modification?
I know the pas resovoir will require moving and a new pas hose can be supplied.
Anyway just wanted to know if anyone has fitted one and what problems you come across whilst fitting. Finally is the fitting kit worth purchasing aswell.
Any advise /help would be great.

Thanks.Lee.

Its an identical copy to the hart so the same..

Seems they provide most of the bits to get around this with the fitting kit though..

The PAS hose they supply is the wrong shape and needs bending. Its very poor for a custom hose.

I will try and find the thread i made about the hose

The rear brake pipe is hit or miss Lee it appears some do some don't - if you do then it's not the end of the world as you could get around that a few different ways but i would cross that bridge if necessary.

I would say the actual plenum would be better than the Hart one as my Hart and many others have complained about the casting and threads in fact my inlet came complete from Dave Yum's Escos and when i split it away from the trumpet section all the bolts had silicon on them too - not sure if that was what MAD do in general or just extra support for the weak threads.

The throttle kit they sell seems to be the best option on the market as i have the one supplied by Spec R and it's a waste of time and need to be replaced or modified

The hose to the PAS tank - well i think it depends on the tank as most fit apart from Steve's but i'm sure Dave could sort the mod for the PAS pump if needed - If not pm me i might be able to get the company that did mine to mod it

One other thing i find with my Hart is the front mount for the rail - the mounting hole is slightly higher than the rear so the rail doesn't sit perfectly over No1 injector - but the AS i bet fits perfect.

I would get one without even thinking twice mate.

you only really run into problems if you have an st t/body or st inlet trumpets! also id heli coil all the threads if i was you or be very carefull not to over tighten the bolts!

I remember the thread regarding and the torque settings advised and i don't think i could get mine anywhere near - i'm going to keep a close eye on mine once on the road running in but if need be i will remove and coil every single hole.

I did all of mine! I don't no if the casting is any stronger on the as one but there such a small thread being a metric fine so better cast or not there still be easy to strip

It appears that if you have the ST trumpets like me it catches the brakes pipes as it's slightly wider you're ok with all the earlier trumpets.
Have alook at my Hart fitting thread for how I over come everything:

I have seen air leaks from those bolts hence the silicon.

Right cheers for that Mark i'm going to have a good look at the plenum and make sure it's sealing correctly so the suspect holes will be dealt with then refitted with silicon - cheers
