Get yourself a nice 8-10k budget. And go choose a minter!
That's where all the proper nice ones are
They are ace cars. And looking at how ford are going to make 'global' cars now,
It looks like they will be the last truly limited edition Run RS....
(not counting the frs500, obviously)

To be honest its a modern car so should behave and look like a modern car and be reliable like one too...... but you mess with it and you change that.
I've had an ST170 before my FRS and quite honestly can't tell the difference really ( and yes there are some ).
They rust around the arches
They've been driven hard
The interiors are not the greatest for wear and the car is poverty spec.
Things to watch are water leaks - no biggy but they suffer from the odd pipes, water pump and thermostat but its all easy enough to do.
Clutches at 80k ish
Belts are 10years/100k
Charge cooler pumps 70k ish
The rest totally depends on the 2 most important things when buying a car - is price or condition most important to you?

i have had mine nearly 3 years with some choice mods they really fly i cant fault them i think prices are set to rise as they are becoming rarer especially low milage cars . i only did a 1000 miles in mine last year and it puts a smile on my face every time i get in it .
