Supra Rear Diff Conversion nearly complete
Supra rear Diff and fully adjustable 6 degree beam is now fitted, Uses standard driveshafts and prop
this should be a pretty bombproof conversion, the diffs are taking 1200bhp or something daft on these crazy Japanese supras. Beams and diff conversions are available through 'A RS Licker' on here, or turbosystems

That kit is about USD320 or 198 English Squids.
And its all bolt in--except 2 weld nuts up into the body on a wider spacing than the normal Ford 4 bolts
And there's a flange and weld in part into the propshaft and a Spicer 1310 u-joint for another 60 squids.
Post to UK ain't near as dear as post the other way.

Thank you. These Supra diffs are amazing diffs. Yhe pinion and diff bearings are larger than US Ford 8.8" parts, the diffs are all 4 pinion diffs and strobger than hell and alternate gears cost second had from USD 10-30 and new under $150 or so depending on ratio...
I got one for my rally Sierra from a You-Pull-it scrappie for $29.75* with the LSD and a 4.3 ratio (with gravel tires at 64cm tall and 1:1 forth gear 7000 rpm gets ya 123 mph.
Our Borg warner T5s all come with really tall 5th gears (either .63 which is really toooooo tall, or 0.73 which is fine) So 1st thru 4th its a case of Yeeeeeee Haaaaaw!, then 5th is slightly less rev than a bog standard car.. Nice for transits and MPG
Now they're up to a shocking USD55 at the same scrappie and private sales from $75 to 250
8" Toyota is very popular in the desert race and rock climbing crowds and of course those afflicted with Driftosis. Very reliable.
We didn't get any LSD in US and Canajian model Xratties and there's not much choice in final drive (3.36 or 3.64 in what's a Scorp fiff you you guys) so we had to do something.

These diffs in US market come in early turbo manual trans= 3.9
later like 89 on turbo manual= 3.73
all years turbo autotragic= 4.3
non-turbo manual= 4.3
For my own car it just so happened that a front 4x4 diff I bought off some galoot over there was a 3.9 so I was all set with 3,9 in both ends.
Some alternate ratios I've come across buying Supra diffs and (since I invented this kit (nudge nudge, wink wink) out of other Toyota 8" solid axles which share the same stuff inside--smart--- is 4.1; 4.37; 4.56
See we have all kinds of junk you guys don't but we don't get some things very easily.
Like we never got rwd Escorts so for 20 years I've pointed out to rally boys here that the lowly 240 Volvo is for all purposes a scaled up Escort with a killer engine that they can't break.
And that our version of the Sierra is an excellent and cheap rally base chassi...
So them we have to have real rally parts or at least really durable stuff since most guys here don't work on much of the car.
So: Supra diff into Sierra, or "Xratties" *
Toyota pick up 8" into 240 Volvos
Volvo Dana 30 into AE86 Corolla, Mazda, Mitsubishi Colt rwd old cars.
Our Sierras are same as your MkI XR4i except the Cologne V6 is out, and the Brazilian made 2300 SOHC 8v turbo in, and they became XR4Ti The were a serious sales flop here and many have sat around , neglect and abandoned and gotten kind of "ratty" over the years... We bring 'em back to life, spiff 'em up and make 'em all purdy again so they hain't "ratty" anymore.
They're "ex-ratty" (this all stems from the font for the 4 in XR4Ti looking like an 'A' from a few feet away, least according to an ex-wifie)

You could Google John Van Awful Bastid
If you get a water pipe and sewer contractor in the Stockholm Sweden area that ain't him, although he used to live near by and ride at a motor-cross track right where the wrong place is.
No, look in the Far North West Corner of USA, almost up into Canada...
