That depends on the ratios, naturally.
These diffs in US market come in early turbo manual trans= 3.9
later like 89 on turbo manual= 3.73
all years turbo autotragic= 4.3
non-turbo manual= 4.3

For my own car it just so happened that a front 4x4 diff I bought off some galoot over there was a 3.9 so I was all set with 3,9 in both ends.

Some alternate ratios I've come across buying Supra diffs and (since I invented this kit (nudge nudge, wink wink) out of other Toyota 8" solid axles which share the same stuff inside--smart--- is 4.1; 4.37; 4.56

See we have all kinds of junk you guys don't but we don't get some things very easily.

Like we never got rwd Escorts so for 20 years I've pointed out to rally boys here that the lowly 240 Volvo is for all purposes a scaled up Escort with a killer engine that they can't break.
And that our version of the Sierra is an excellent and cheap rally base chassi...

So them we have to have real rally parts or at least really durable stuff since most guys here don't work on much of the car.

So: Supra diff into Sierra, or "Xratties" *
Toyota pick up 8" into 240 Volvos
Volvo Dana 30 into AE86 Corolla, Mazda, Mitsubishi Colt rwd old cars.

Our Sierras are same as your MkI XR4i except the Cologne V6 is out, and the Brazilian made 2300 SOHC 8v turbo in, and they became XR4Ti The were a serious sales flop here and many have sat around , neglect and abandoned and gotten kind of "ratty" over the years... We bring 'em back to life, spiff 'em up and make 'em all purdy again so they hain't "ratty" anymore.
They're "ex-ratty" (this all stems from the font for the 4 in XR4Ti looking like an 'A' from a few feet away, least according to an ex-wifie)
