I had a 16v red top Sri Cav and loved every minute. The thing flew and never missed a beat. I'd have another for a hack

My brother had the 8v version which was a good car to be fair. Some old fart killed it a couple of days after it sailed the MOT and the tester said what an exceptional example it was.

**Just to add. my brother was being followed by an unmarked police car at the time of the accident and cleared of any wrong doing whatsoever. The old fart was charged with driving without due care.

Kinda spooky that it hit a Vectra as well.

Felt a bit sorry for the Vectra owner as he only stopped as he saw the old fart hit my brother so he stopped to be a witness but my brother then hit him before being tipped on his side.

Was a spooky prang all round as one of my best mates was driving the car behind the old fart. He rushed to help and saw my brother and his girlfriend hanging by their seatbelts. "Hello, what you doing here?"

i had a sri 2.0 8valve g reg cav hatch in a pale metalic blue. Paid 200 notes for it with 12 months mot it was tidy and went like stink for what it was.
Ohhhh the days when you could pick up a cheap motor out the local paper. Ebay has ruined everything.

I also had a calibra 2.0 8v that had done 198000 when i bought it. Didnt use a drop of oil either.
The 8v lumps seemed alot more reliable than the redtops
