is there anyone that can help me with this?the engine cranks ok but will not fire.changed coil.ign.amp. map sensor.dizzy cap and rotor.plugs.when i carry out a break out test everything is ok.but its not!!!i can tow the car and get it to start but it wont idle properly untill it´s hot.when hot it starts ok but have a little glitch if you depress the throttle a little bit fast.pick it up slowly no problems.have checked fuel pressure and fuel pump ok.havent changed air temp,throttle pos. or phase sensor.still have that and the ecu and wiring.can anyone help me there????

Air and coolant temp can do as you describe. Very unlikely to be TPS.

cheers stu.i dont have the new air temp sensor yet but since the coolant sensor have the same values could i use one just to get it started??just wondering??

Yes, but naturally it wont be accurate due to not being insulated from the head so dont be thrashing her around.

no was just thinking of starting the f**ker.have a couple of those liying around

fitted new air temp sensor.same trouble.

will soon be sold in bits if i can´t get it to work

hello again.STU! is the ecu broken when you take off the vacuum pipe for the mapsensor and engine doesn´t stop??
