Made the trip from crewe to Ford fair today in the sapph, ran faultlessly all the way there, then, just as we got into the middle of the show, where everyone was looking, it decided to cut out and wouldn't restart, some nice people help us push it out of the way, managed to get it started again and made it our stand, then on the way home, there was a horrible noise from the osf wheel, stopped on the hard shoulder of the m1, called rac, found out the osf wheel bearing is buggered! Currently waiting for recovery truck to take us home. Enjoyed the show though lol.

Not good, did you powder coat your hubs? Car parts express on here are good for the wheel bearings!

Hope ya haven't had to wait too long, I got back to Chelmsford, Essex about 20 mins ago, traffic was a nightmare!!!

No mate, not powdercoated, to be fair, they're the original wheelbearings so they've done well lol.

Traced the fault to a bad connection behind the ecu, sorted it temporarily, gonna have the dash out and completely rewire everything I think.

On the positive side, it ran faultlessly otherwise.

Mightmare mate. my saff boiled over on the motorway waiting to get into ford fair cause a wire had come loose on the fan switch.

I knew as soon as I read it that it must have been you!

It was only on the way home that I see not only you on the side of the road, but one other white one, that one only made it to the A43 though!

It's not FordFair if ya dont see a few breakdowns lol

Hi mate, the fuel pumps weren't priming, normally when i switch the ignition on the fuel pump relay clicks but it didn't, i just had a fiddle with the wires and plugs behind the ecu and luckily found the fault.
Have you checked the fuel cut off switch in the boot to see if it's popped up??

yes mate iv done that same with mine its got no power at all its got to a stage im thinking could be the loom.

Karl yeh it was spot on after we put the wire back on.It sat in the traffic for the rest of the hour ok.Then the abs lights come on lol.I think that was just to do with the heat in the engine bay,thats all ok now too.
