Hi mate, thanks for the link, is there no other cheaper option? I was reading a thread where it stated there are some cars out there running fairely decent power with low ratio diffs but I cant figure out what ones they are using

Gonna get a 7.5" in there once it goes

Use your 7,5" oe diff then the 7" 4x4.
I will using a Scorpio Cosworth 7,5" diff on my escos, it`s stronger than the 7" and it`s bolt on whit 4x4 drive shafts

its torque that kills them and standard diffs fall apart with about 350lb ft then the crown wheel and pinions brake as well with more torque if you really abuse them and why are you 4x4,ing it just one big can of worms as the gearbox,s are week too its just big money getting it all to cope!

not really, but thats just the beginning of your problems, the gearbox will also break at that level,no ifs or buts,it WILL break, and the price for a fixit, which is nowhere near the most expensive gearbox. Ł3050 (plus Ł275 for an uprated 1st gear)!!!!

you will need the driveshafts if using a 7.5" diff as they are different from 4x4s

At around 500 bhp you may get away running a standard 7.5" rear diff, but you will need to uprate the front diff to a titan, gripper, quaife or similar front. Ideally you would want a thickwall front housing but if it isnt running huge torque you could try a standard case with a brace plate fitted.
