alright guys gave my golf VR6 boot its prime first and then its 1st coat of paint, there is a very slight run in the paint which is very small. whats the best way to get rid of it? wait for it to dry and then wet and dry it with some 1500 grit?
must say it looks very good apart from the slight run![Content](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/content.gif)
also how many layers of paint will i need? spraycans![Big Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

let it dry for a while if flatting as it'll just tear the top off fook your paper and you will have a skin all over the panel where it peeled
leave it a bit flat it back and try again, do light coats and cans always look wank, get a gun but you may find the rattle can paint doesnt get on with gun paint unless you put a prime over the top to seperate em

best way iv seen is to apply filler over the the run and just around it, use a flat block and rub down til just gone through filler and should be perfectly flat and not gone through

That's fine, but you won't get the run out once the laquers on top.I always find by putting the rattle cans in boiling/very hot water the finish is far better, warms the paint up see.
Also as much heat as you can get in the area will really help.
Cutting and polishing will usually get a rattle can job up to a decent level, ive even done them before now as good as a gun job on small plastics etc.
