Default Duratech 2.5 V6 turbo management? OMEX, Autronic, Secs?

Need management for the above engine,

Any fors & againsts on these managements?

Best places to get them?

My engine will need running in, would the ECU come with a base MAP, or would I have to take it to a tuner, and get them to program a base MAP?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Sorry to say, the SECS S8 ecu will only work on weber YB or
EEC4 (4 cylinder cars) at present.

I would recomend PECTEL/MOTEC/Autronic ECU if you have deep pockets,
otherwise OMEX, DTA are fine.

There is an OMEX distributor on here http://www.ap-tuning.co.uk/

MA Developments sell the Autronic.

I am sure Stu @ MSD could help you out here too.
Give him a call during office hours.

As for base, maps usually ecu's will have them or can be supplied for extra cost.

At the end of the day, go with your chosen tuners recomendation
is the best option.

lol! my stepdads got a turbo setup waiting to be bolted onto his ST24, the management seems to be the only problem. hes bought a Greddy E-manage setup, but theyre not meant to be much cop so hes rethinking.

autronic is the order of the day i think.

What ECU do Noble use as they run a Duratec V6 turbo in their cars unless I'm mistaken.

Emerald comes with plenty of free base maps and is very easy to get a drivable car for running in by tweeking one of them with the free software that comes with it.

http://www.emeraldm3d.com/

I drove my 2.3 RS2000 around for nearly 6 weeks on a home modified base map with no problems and a full days mapping on Emerald's rollers is only £300 + vat

Simon @ SECS did talk of a V6 version this year. If it's a direct and reasonably priced swap for EEC-IV then I have my name down...

Stock 24 valve Ford cosworth V6 made 230bhp on Emerald management in some kit car they mapped

In comparison my 2.3 RS2000 (throttle bodies etc etsc etc) made 200.8 bhp on Emerald's rollers and the same engine made 216 bhp on Power Engineerings - which are on happy pills

Off the top of my head (so don't quote me exactly) around a Grand for ECU/Loom/Sensors.

The 600 Series is less money, almost as high spec and may do what you want. Drop us an email with all the details and I will get Gary to take a look.
