Default Got my car back from Power Engineering and.......

I have just had my fiesta up there for a running issue and rolling road, they changed a map sensor and adjusted the fuelling etc, but couldnt rolling road it as it still had oil in the exhaust which was making it smoke badly.
they told me to drive it home and clear the oil out so i did and the smoking stopped... problem is the car has literally no boost (0.2 bar 3psi?) this is the first time i have drove it since we did a t3 conversion and im sure even fiesta turbos were 7psi standard?? so am not sure if they have set it to this or the previous owner did (im assuming not)

My question being is would they have set the fuelling to only cope with the low boost? or could i turn it up to standard boost level till i return to the rolling road? It chatters mint!! but........ i feel like a xr2i

Cheers

Pissing about with the boost yourself is a recipe for disaster! Take it to a pro.

Seen as the car hasn't been run up i would definatly not assume the fueling is going to be fine once the boost is raised.

it would be fairly predictable for them to have dropped the boost while everything sorted itself out and then for you to go back and get it running right once it wasn't having an issues

it would be easy for you to turn the boost up and kill the engine and then blame them for fucking your car up so best to give them a bell when they are next open and get it set up properly

That was the 'old' Power Engineering. A few years ago they went under and Iain Ball who used to work there took it over and seems to be doing a good job of things these days.

I've known Iain for coming on 10 years and he's a good lad. I've not heard anything bad said since he took it over.

Ian runs the rolling road side, he's a top lad and knows his stuff but he doesn't own the place - Dicky still has that privilege.

So was it a shitty place when my sticker was done?

I want to get it mapped again when its done but for now would it be set up shitty? I ask this as i got told its a stage 2 at 330bhp... didn't think it could be this high at stage 2.

They haven't got a 2wd one now - that was in the old place and is now owned by Ecutek. Power have a 4wd Dyno Dynamics one on the other side, where the workshops are.

I would get it checked over just to be safe mate.

The only times I used powers was when Matt (Guzzler on here) used to work there and always had a good service from them but that only when buying parts off them years ago.

Give Ian a shout or book it in somewhere else. Personally I would get a live map do e rather than an off-the-shelf chip, if you can afford the extra it costs but it totally transforms the car.
