good luck on wednesday, hopefully everythings ok and they can switch all the monitoring on. tbh what is the point in having an ecu with the ability to turn stuff off especially on such a highly tuned engine, madness imho.
will they be able to sort out the over reading tacho or are you able to sort it?

i would hope 140+ but what will be will be mate, i have never felt anything so relentless at 100 mph acceleration though, hugely more noticable power compared to the skyline which termianled 123 mph on a not so perfect run lol

Utterly no idea what to say to that mate, cant even imagine what you are going through right now.
Thoughts are with you, and like you say it puts metal into perspective as the irrelevance it is compared to family.
All the best mate.

thanks for the kind words, i still have my 2 year old daughter but it does get to you, 2 miscarriages in a row and a still born after that is taking its toll on us tbh.
i want to go to tdi as im hoping it will take my mind of it for a few hours, its a hard thing to digest.
i wasnt gonna mention anything on a forum but it does help to mention it without having to face people.

Horrific, and must be 100 times worse for your mrs just because of the inherent bond between mother and child from having the child growing inside her etc

Helps on two levels I would imagine, firstly just that you have a daughter still to appreciate, but secondly that you HAVE to pull yourself together somehow (fuck knows how though!) just to be there for her, so it gives you a reason to keep going when you feel like you just want to give up
Horrific, and must be 100 times worse for your mrs just because of the inherent bond between mother and child from having the child growing inside her etc
Even if it takes your mind half off it then its better than sitting there unable to think of anything else at all.
Its a strange part of the human persona that sharing things no matter who with genuinely does normally help, I think it probably makes you accept those things as reality yourself more when you are talking to others about it, quite interesting from a psychology point of view, but certainly a good idea even if it feels a bit detached doing so via an impersonal medium of communication like a keyboard.

ours were twins but after it divided there was no fetal heart formed just an empty sac, got past the first 12 weeks fine where she has miscarried previously, then out of nowhere an infection from speculated early water break and my missus gave birth at 20 weeks, still born.
it is horrific as the baby is pretty well formed at that stage, needed post mortum to determine sex but the missus said no which is understandable.
where not giving up though, if we do it was all for nothing.

4th = 1.205
5th = 1.1
6th = 0.82
rpm 7500
1st 46.3
2nd 76.8
3rd 112.0
4th 143.2
5th 156.9
6th 210.4
Surely that cant be right?
4th and 5th arae not even 10% difference and then a massive jump to 6th?
On the plus side, 6th looks ideal for 200mph, just over 7000rpm, which you have plenty of power at that point.

i'm sorry for your loss, i'm not at that stage of my life yet so can't possibly imagine how you and your missus must be feeling. don't go quiet about it though (i know it sounds like a cliche but its true), do morn the death and carry on trying cos as you say if you don't keep trying then its all been for nothing.
best of luck to your family for the future now go take your mind off it with the supra and if thats all ok park it up and go do something fun as a family. then carry on where you left off feeling much better about everything.

which is accurate i dont know but either look quite promising

Go and sit at 4000rpm in 4th then 5th then 6th with the satnav on mph and find out i guess!
That second set look like they make more sense though, given the choice I would have those then change the diff ratio to gear it for 200mph at just past peak power.

Its going to be a hell of a big ask of 6th gear to gain you 40 odd mph.
keeping the 1.205 4th but with a 1.0 5th and a .85 6th would seem like a nice place to be if you could find them?

So sorry to read about your loss
Can't think of anything positive to say but you must keep going for your Mrs and the child you already have.
I do know that dads get forgotten at this time mate but my thoughts are with you.
Hope all goes well this afternoon and you manage to take your mind of things even if its only for a hour or so.
Steve
