sounds like a bloody jet, very nice

slightly worrying about the little bodges though but once you've given it the once over it should be a brilliant car.

taking on rod a brinters would be awsome too, let us know when i'll be there :green:

it is alot worrying but hopefully the engine has been built correctly and torqued correctly internally. i cant see anything else being an issue i can see, just need to check fueling at wot and prey basically lol
if something breaks i will pull the engine out and go through it myself. ive already got my eye on a spare built cylinder head just need to free up some more cash to buy it.

as for brunters it has been a dream of mine for a while so would be nice to run a big power car up there.

good luck, i will keep my fingers crossed for you.

i've only ever been to brunters once and that was testing the hand controls on the uni's m3 and i was the recovery car, was good fun, shame my drive shafts were fucked though as it got a bit scary come 110mph with the vibration so i couldn't go all out...not that my little focus could do much more anyway

i will be keeping an eye on this project for as long as it goes on i think

ive just been out in the garage and checked ecu as ive read about certain toggle switches it has, it has an a/f feedback function which i assume must mean closed loop and its switched off ? i shall switch it on with wideband in and see what happens, seems strange they would switch it off. then again im not suprised tbh

dont you worry about messing about with the ecu and all these switches etc and worrying about certain bodges but good thing u have put them right.. why dont you just take it to a proper tuner and see whats what it might save you a big bill for later? seems a bit laggy to be honest but it must be mental on boost ..just dont mess with any escorts mate you might be in lag lag lag while the escorts grips and focks off

Its had LOTS of money piled into it, but not much overall direction as a project and not enough concentration on the quality of how the components are fitted.
You sound like the perfect new owner to make that car what it should have been to begin with TBH

Its cool that you have so much to get involved with and make it YOUR car too

Congrats on the car mate!

Not into Supra's AT ALL but somehow this one looks stunning!

I especially like the front and U feel it would look so much more brutal is you loose the rearspoiler!

Sideskirts want adressing too, a little too fussy!

Other than that: MONSTER!!!

bodywork will stay the same because of 2 reasons 1 i love it and 2 the guy spent £6500 on the bodykit and 110 hours of professional customisations then a full respray on top so probably near on £9k, i think shes had enough bodywork tbh.

well the navigator is in cambridge parcel force and ive paid customs so should be here tmrw. hopefully tmrw or friday some wot with afr check i shall stick the gtech in aswell for giggles
i am proper excited if im honest preying for no more issues !

I dont know how det senstive those engines are, but personally I would want the fuelling in the low 11s or better still the mid to high 10s, you can afford to lose a few bhp in exchange for better reliability!

tdi report states ingition set at limit of 97 ron and i will be on 98/99 ron v power and 11 afr so fingers crossed it sits at 11 or richer.

Might be worth chucking some power pour in the tank when you are first AFR checking it etc.
That stuff is amazing at stopping det.
Then at least when you get to checking the timing without the power pour then you'll know the fuelling is already right?

I doubt brunters is long enough for you to reach that though TBH with your power.

Mine is 224.5 at the limiter but bob hope chance of hitting it .

You would need over 1000+bhp all the way down the straight to start to challenge 218 & thats if you get gearing correct. I suspect your 6th gear will be way too tall to pull so i would calculate in 5th .

Unless you up the Power i can muster a fair few more horses than your Supra & 215mph aint going to happen in mine . Think about passing 200mph before you think about 210mph that a massive, massive leap. Only 3 cars have ever passed 214mph (not counting Red Victor) within the constraints of a UK runway & its very doubtfull that yours or my car will join that select band .

just a theoretical mate i wouldnt do it even if it could, id like to think 200 mph will be achievabe though at brunters and its something i would like to have a go at hopefully with yourself there and preferably mark if hes about with his headset
