if you put compression struts on a sierra how do you compensate for lack of anti roll bar?
you dont compensate for not having an important part of your suspension without compromising what you have left !
We supply a Complete GpA Front Anti-roll bar kit although i dont recommend this solely for road use .
We add the tube below the TCA , 50mm long and with a bore of @10mm to allow a long bolt to pick up the Drop link .
Were developing a complete new system that does away with all of the compbrake parts tho with double adjustable in situ Comp strut and Track arm and fully adjustable Rose jointed bottom pin to stop the TCA running uphill like in the 1st pic .
Would you mod mine if I sent them to you please? Or could you sell me the bits to weld on? I have a full group A arb for my Escos, just never fitted it!

Indeed , if you look at my pics ive done that by insering a stainless steel bush into the steering pin on the hub and spacing the bolt and rose joint down by the same amount .
Our new kit will allow the Hub pin height to be moved upto an inch making 3 dr hubs un-neccessary .
Will we use the Centres of LAG castors as the steel tube to weld under the TCA ,you can probably get the bit of tube from BnQ mate !

my german cossie came with the eyes for the compresssion strut welded onto the bottom of the tca and retained the arb. not the best way of doing it compared to a proper bladed arb and improved geometry etc, but cheap and effective.

but with my upright you dont have to change your arb or tcas or alter trackrod end position to end up with 3 dr geometry ,plus because they are alloy as opposed to cast steel you lose unsprung weight which is a big bonus
So how do you fit your compression struts to them then? I've got compbrake ones, I think
hi its a different type of compstrut to fit these but the benefit is you can change the outer bearing were as in the standard modded one you cant change the ball joint plus these are lighter which again helps unspung weight plus they come with fitment for bladed arb

how much unsprung weight do you lose, considering it's hung off a pivot in a fairly horizontal plane? more than the sprung weight that you lose?
hi the weight you lose in the difference between the steel one and the alloy one ,and uprights are vertical not horizontal ,and i dont know what you mean ,(more than the sprung weight that you lose ) you dont lose any sprung weight ,anything that dosent go up and down with the suspension is unsprung weight
Those CNC TCA's look nice ,are you already making those ?

i just meant that as the tca is hung one end from the crossmember which acts as sprung weight, the other end on the upright is unsprung.
