Funny as fook, two coppers one wants to nab everyone, the other wants to let everyone off

plus everytime it shows them on the motorway they are tanking it, no blues and two's and no call, just gunning it as they call every other driver an arsehole

I've always wanted to be a traffic cop, but I don't admire theprts of the job where you are picking dead people up of the road, then having to tell their loved ones.

The accident involving the silver Astra they cutthe roof off was the first call out my mate had when he joined the fire service. Turned out that the women was one of my mates bosses as well ! small world.

I did laugh at the 2 coppers, difficult job to do though, not for me at all

I wouldn't mind even just having a go at the training they get. Although, I watched an episode where they "broke down" the chase, it was actually laughable at how much the narrator licked their arse's about how great they were at driving, even though the chase could have been completed safely by someone with a Green "P" on their bumper!

The control panel is lit up red, so they have got the lights on.

I thought the program was fine except the two muppets at the beginning. Calling the measuring equipment a "love scope" and feeling like "it's a real gun" make them both an embarrasment - and that's coming from someone in the job.....It's next weeks programme that will give an insight to day to day policing, when they follow the response officers around.

i agree the 2 at the start were muppets seemd to be a power trip but the end two were funny.

i thought the show showed a little too much of people trapped / cut up / in hospital / dead etc

All I can say mate is what they showed is reality... The program was up and down with emotions, pretty much the job summed up fairly well. You have to admire any FLO in my opinion it's a job with no real reward.

well it summed up my general thoughts on them from what I saw, didnt seem to be doing any real police work to me except slagging off other drivers and having petty arguments with each other, I agree it must be very difficult dealing with road side accidents and informing loved ones of the consequences but as far as the other side of the job went they didnt seem to do the tax payers any justice. The time spent on the bloke with the tints could of been spent elsewhere, and stating that the rear windows being too dark were dangerous was a bit of a joke. Didnt once see them patrol round any industrial estates or even any crime hot spots for that matter.

I think they came accross a little unprofessional IMO, im sure they are just doing a job, the same as everyone else, but they could of at least kept it proffesional for the cameras.

I think your right Chaffe, probably a bit of a bad post by me as I dont want to tarr coppers with the same impression given by them on that program., But given my last few experiences with the police both on my side and on my girfriends side you would be amazed at how things turned out rendering mine and the mrs confidence nil with them. I can honestly say I have only met one police officer who I can say I respected and listened too, that policeman in question gave me a ticket for using my phone whilst driving. He spoke to me like a human being and explained a few home truths to me without making me feel like a twat. All the others ive dealt with either havnt got the time of day when you need help or advise or when they are questioning you speak as if they just scraped you off their boots.

i watched it, and found it a good watch. Must be a very hard job at times are these RTA`s etc, But what i thought was the sadest part, was that old chap that had lost his wife, and he said to the copper, the guy that did it will walk away scott free for murdering his wife. Even the copper had to agree. Low and behold, at the end of the show, that guy got 300hrs community service oh and a ban, for killing someone.

100% agree with that Rick.
Why should they "professional" it up for the cameras? It is supposed to portray coppers in their true light and i think that's what it does. Why shouldn't coppers have a laugh together during the less emotional (ie breaking bad news to a family) parts of their job. If you want to watch tame police programs watch Brit Cops/Traffic Cops/Road Wars or get your old Bill DVDs out.
My mate has just left the Cambridgeshire traffic police - would have been a laugh to see him on there.
