Default TV Stand Ideas?

Ive asked this question on a relevant forum, but i always get better answers on here lol

I am looking for a stand for my TV and other equipment and im struggling to find anything suitable.

The issue i am having is i only have a gap of 100cm to fill and all the stands that will hold what i need are wider.

This is what i have to fit in:

Panasonic 42" Plasma
Panasonic DVD/VCR Recorder combo
Technics Pre Amp
Technics Power Amp
Technics CD Player
Technics Tape Deck
XBOX 360
XBOX
Super Nintendo

I am also debating buying:
Technics EQ
Technics DAB Tuner
PS3

To many things to fit into a small space but its worth a try lol

I was wondering if you could buy two of these and instead of fixing on the short bottom legs, you could use the glass and tall spacers off the second one to make one with twice the height and double the shelves.

It's not overly spectaculer bud, I've talked a few friends into making there own due to not being able to find stuff to suit.

My last pal purchased six one metre lengths of M12 thread and a few pine sheets and made a lovely stand, to hard to explain but I'll get a pic of that also lol

Heres mine.... excuse the crap phone pictures.

Fits the 50", X-box, stereo, DVD, sky box and a couple of misc storage boxes.

Nice, fancy one of those myself. Mine houses a retro console too, A Sega Dreamcast next to my 360's and PS3.

If your dad needs any advice feel free to PM me bud.

I am thinking of starting to make and sell furniture again after christmas once my garden workshop is finished as I enjoy it.

Something like that above would competatively sell for Ł200 ish.

If that Portability stand is the same as one a customer of mine had (it looks it) then it's bloomin rubbish. Very very weak legs and glass is too thin.

Have a look at - http://www.alphasondesigns.com/searc...Search=6&Go=Go - good quality stuff.

Also there's the http://www.apollohifi.co.uk/Home/Home.html Apollo range - the Mezzo Soprano is a similar look to what you posted. Cheapest place I found was Superfi online.

The problem arises if you have a deep carpet or nice soft underlay - the leverage on the legs bends the bolt/stud. Also heard some nasty creaking when attempting to lift with some kit on it. Best to unload first, methinks!

That said, it could just look very similar to the one I've seen and in fact be of much better construction!
