my v reg focus got a brake light out,do i need acess through the boot to change it cos my boot is fooked,wont open with the key or the button so can i open it from the inside to change the bulb? help please

'Fraid so

There's a plastic nut thing inside the boot and a torx headed screw that is covered by the boot so you'll need to get it open mate

99% sure you can do it from inside, going to be a bit fiddly reaching over parcel shelf, unless it's a saloon version in which case you're screwed!!

As for opening it from the inside, can you access the screws for the striker and undo them?

You will need to take the light out to replace the bulb so the boot will need to be opened.

Pull the trim panel off at the bottom of the boot and you should see the lock and striker no probs.theres a cable connecting it to the lock barrel/motor.

Give it a quick pull and the boot should pop ok then.try dousing the cable in wd40 and it should go again.you may find that the fuse supplying the boot lock has blown due to it being to stiff to move........stiff like when you bum her!!!
