Default Iphone set up

Ive got an iphone that was on a contract. I have put a pay as you go sim in it now.
Reset the phone, done a software download and it wont make or recieve calls.
It says "awaiting activation, this may take some time."

What the f&*k is it doing???

Who's your service provider? Usually if you send a text to their relevant settings malarky it sends the settings to your phone.

Its on o2. Cant even top up the credit on it. It shows o2-uk at the top right but the reception is zero.

Done that mate, it wont even dial 4444 to top up. It just says call failed.
