Default Another taxox question, with pics of it now its on the car (tabetha again?)

Have started mocking up how im going to make my big brake setup for the nova now.

Clearance looks quite good under my 16s with a 300mm disk, got plenty of room for wheel weights still etc:

My query though is wether I need to sit it out a tiny bit further in order to gain extra clearance on the inside edge of the pad, as the bell of the disk is literally sitting just under the caliper now, it doesnt foul on the caliper, but im worried it might touch the pads, but I havent sourced the pads yet so just wonder if they come right to the inside edge of the caliper or not?

hopefull you can see what I mean from that?

best thing is to get some pads and try it mate, if they touch then some gentle fetling with the grinder on the pads would soon resolve it.

Agreed that im sure the pads can be modified if its an issue, but given that Ive not yet finished making up the brackets (its just mounted on piss thin ally sheet that im using as a template to work out the spacing at the moment) it would be just as easy for me to move the calipers out a few mm if I need to at this stage, and ive got loads of clearance under the wheel to allow me to do so.

Will order some pads up but just thought someone on here (esp tabetha as he has the same brakes) might know off hand anyway where they sit.

PERFECT!

Thanks mate, thats exactly the same caliper as mine, so shows me how I need to mount mine up.

Will need to space it out about 5mm further than I current have it then!

cool, have just ordered some pads so that I can work it out exactly when they arrive as obviously if they are going to protrude past the end of the caliper its the pad I need to measure from not the caliper.

I'm going to look at mine again, as not sure mine stick out at all past the body of the caliper, with the DS2500 pads(not my choice, most likely be binned).
