Default Torch junkies

Ordered two lights for my bike recently, first up is this

ASU SSC P7 900 Lumen LED got it from here for £39.99 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300466668997&ssPageNam e=STRK:MEWNX:IT So so so impressed with it and out on a ride some other riders could not believe how well it performed for the price i payed' it was even better than some of the much more expensive lights that we came across

The reason i got this light is that after i ordered the p7 above my friend sent me a link to this one, turned up yesterday and not had a chance to ride with it yet but the beam is much stronger in the middle and a real nice wide angle, cant wait to go for a blast with it, you can also get a tail lamp @ 85 lumen's got it from Dealextreme http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.44459 for $80 (£52) altho i have just found a UK distributor but they are more expensive @ £79.95 http://www.magicshineuk.co.uk/index.php

Magicshine
Bike Light Set MJ-808 900 Lumens

What do you think! anyone got any lights etc?

They do look good, looks like you found your self some bargains.

Just been thinking I need to get some lights for my bike but I really cant justify the price, well no thats not strictoy accurate, its more like I'd rather buy car parts with that sort of money! I say it every year though that I will buy some lights but I just dont bother going out in the dark, my garage has lights

Yeah I have missed getting out during the week as it gets dark so soon now. What do you think of the first one? Is it good enough on it's own for forest single track?

Aye for £12 seems worth it right enough. What sort of weight is the battery pack? And how well do you think it will stand up to crashing?

You can get the MTE version of this torch for around £16 from DE, I have that, as well as around 100 others!!, it does indeed get hot if kept on high for too long, but doesn't affect it.
Use AW 18650 batteries, from 4 sevens etc, as DE don't do these, AW way better than any other brand I've used.
The clamp for the light is around £1 from DE.
The MJ 808 is indeed a awsome rear light, but I prefer and use the PORTLAND DEVELOPMENT WORKS PD1000, it's tripple zZzPOP mode just has to be seen to be beleived, can see over 1 1/2 miles EASILY, and is around £16 delivered from ebay.com.
The best other light at a sensible price is the SUPERFLASH, with the 0.5W nichia LED.

There is a GI in the states making to order lights with properly developed reflectors for beam cut off etc, awsome light at 22,000 Lumen, with 4 hour runtime(on full), 60 hours on low 2000 Lumen, weighs 1700g all up, can't find the linky at mo, but that's for real pro's/nutters at around £850!!, lifetime warranty on everything inc the batts.
Also includes the rear lights with auto brake function, uses decelerometer for this.
