And you think your better than him when you use words like C*** !!!
He's opened up to complete strangers and asked for our feelings on the matter.
He was asking if he would do time, not for everyone to call him an idiot.
He's accepted what he did was wrong and he's got 5 pages on here for it when all he wanted was a yes or no!!!

Lets just hope he can take it calmly this and doesnt react in his normal way and get angry at the replies and go and chin PON for talking that way to him or he'll be in even more trouble with the old bill.

no sorry - only read your first post and not the whole thread - apologioes if there is more to it but judging by your initial post it seems you have a history of violence and hence will get sent down.
I will try and read the rest of the post before i make any further comments.

Well then Im sure being a big boy he will accept that some people's opinions will be that he is a nasty chav underclass worthless piece of violent scum, and some people's opinion will be that he is a working class hero fighting the good fight, or anything in between.

right - just read the whole thread and i personally think you will get bird as you have a history of violence and to top if all off the courts will view your assualt on the guy that hit your mrs as premeditated as you followed them home and then confronted them. There will be no mention of him taunting you as he has two other witnesses so you're fooked there.
Then you get into trouble at a footy match - I have been to loads of matches, both here in the UK and abroad and have never had any violence or abuse directed towards me so mybe you just got unlucky or as chip said over-reacted. Either way its no way to behave in front of a young impressionable boy.
You defo need anger managment courses to gain control of your emotions but i dont think you should get sent down for it as there are murderers, thieves and rapists out there that should be banged up.

Mate,
Its almost refreshing that you've accepted you have done wrong and put your hands up to it. I was half expecting a 'how do I get off with this then thread'.
I 'think' you will do some time, but you really just never know. It does all depend on the judge you get and the mood they are in.
Just wondering, if the bloke made a complaint against you for the first incident, any reason as to why your good lady didn't make a complaint against him. Sorry if I got the wrong end of the stick so to speak.
From the threads here, I would still have to say that I do not have much sympathy about the football related incident. Still, at least you are trying to get a handle on your anger mate.

You seem fairly decent in general but by the sounds of it you need to chill out a bit, hitting someone at the football and this incident with your missus suggests you resort to violence way too often.
Best of luck anyway, hope it goes well and you've learned your lesson without having to go to the clink.

Good Luck Matey.
Respect for you actually admitting you are in the wrong!!
Was in the same boat as you.....Oh a long time ago. I was on a suspended for GBH and a twat hit the wife(ex now) after been warned about his antics. However cos I was on a suspended, I couldnt do a thing, well publically
I waited all night and followed him, I stayed sober and he got pissed, shall we say, he wont be doing it again!!!
The good old days when there was no CCTV.
I think you know youve done wrong, however your pissed cos you got caught. As someones said the clever ones are on the outside.
I was allready on an ABH charge suspended when I went up for the GBH - this is back in the 70's and was added the 12 month suspended GBH charge to the 6month ABH charge!!! oh and a bloody large fine!!
Also the criminal record fooked me up when I tried emigrating in the mid 80's
Hope it goes ok for ya!!

Matt,
I know it's not a direct answer to your question/position but... A lot of my friends are currently serving in the forces or are just starting to leave and try and re-adjust to civvy street. A few of them are finding it very difficult to be what the social definition of 'normal' is.
A very close friend of mine was with 40 Commando for 5 years and he flies off the handle over small things... I had to physically pull him off someone a few months ago, all for spilling a drink on him! He started to get in trouble with the old bill and in the end, he went and saw a counsellor, once a week, privately (cost him about £40 a time).
3 months later and he is slowly starting to become the lad I originally knew, he said he's broken down in tears numerous times during the counselling sessions but he thinks he's starting to clear his head a bit now and doesn't feel the need to "neutralize threats" like he used to.
I don't know if it's something that would help you in your court case, to tell them that you're privately paying for counselling, but it might help you as a person...
