Is the car lowered at all? I'd guess you could slap on a set of 17" if the car is riding on standard height springs and you're not doing much steering... if you're planning to roll it around and manouvre it into and out of a tight space then I'd probably stick to a 16" wheel cause it won't reduce your lock-to-lock turning ability.

If the car is just rolling around then they should be ok... might scrub a wee bit, but who cars if its just so the car can be shifted around. If you're planning to drive it around the place then you might want something with a thinner/lower profile tyre mate.

I remember Jason Ripps Fiesta Turbo had 18s but you would need the arches rolled.
Here's the car with 18s.
