Default 1.1 hcs engine problem

i have a problem with my 1.1 hcs engine it will start with no trouble but once you try to accelerate it will just try to cut out but once up to normal temperature its fine does any body have any advice or clues on what is causing it thanks chris

would say chokes not working correct as when its upto temp choke isnt needed but when started choke is due to slightly more fueling needed,

tbh my best advise is to buy a haynes manual. Im not being sarcastic in anyway but read that, i had one for mine and i ended up doing engine conversions as it help me learn but check was all good.

If you've recently fitted a K&N filter to it, that might be the problem. I did that to mine when I had it years ago and experienced the same symptoms as you describe.

there is a fuel return pipe on the front of the carb that goes to the fuel tank i think we have put a a hose clip on and tightened it a bit and that seems to solve the problem at the moment so not sure what to do next
