I have a Connect TDDi and I brought a timing locking kit for it, so you may need one too.

you can do it without one just mark the crank pully and you can use some bolts or drill bits to lock the pump and a bit off flat bar on the cam simples

You don't use a locking bar on the cam at all, these engines are locked by means of pins, cam, pump, crank, all pins, so use drill bits, make sure you do BOTH belts, most just do the timing(cam) belt leaving the pump belt alone to snap and wind itself up in the timing belt, but easy to change also at same time, just buy a complete belt kit, containing both belts.
