Default Reasons for ecu boost limit in cossie???

Problem with my saph, tried a few things, namely checking for leaks, new turbo, actuator and rebuilt engine etc, buy it won't boost more than 0.8-0.9 bar.

Anyway, was thinking it was perhaps (pretty sure actualy) a boost limit by the ecu, trouble is i don't know what would cause this.

Car has been rebuilt, all new sensors and engine etc, so must have disturbed something.

No same setup as before chop, amal valve still connected.

Engine is just balanced/rebuilt standard item, Ahmed chip (stage 3), level 8 ECU, 3 Bar map sensor.

Does the AMAL valve click when you plug in/unplug the T shaped black plug on the top of it? If not then either the valve is dead or the wiring is.

Next thing to try is pulling the pipe off the actuator but be warned, this will give you NO boost control, so squeeze the throttle in very gently and watch your boost gauge! This will at least allow you to see if your turbo is capable of making more boost.

If you're happy that there are no air leaks (really requires the inlet system to be pressurised to around 35psi) then it's time to look further into your boost control, turbo and actuator...

Offshore?

Do you remember where the heliport is?

I have 1 maybe 2 spare amal valves at the house so don't buy one if it's that!

Cool thanks for the info, I'll check it asap!
It's not clicking on/off madly at idle, like there's another issue, but i haven't checked that it's actually working at all as i haven't had time yet, will do that, as well as the other boost checks when i get back.

Got offered a few days offshore as we were busy so thought why not, should be home today/tommorow, job finished, just got to rig down which won't take long, so depends what time the flights are.
Spent the whole day yesterday on the rig floor from 6am till 7pm, managed to squeeze in a 15 min tea break and that was it, so makes me realise I don't miss it that much.....

UPDATE.

Checked the Amal valve operation, totally ok, no issues there.
Got a replacement actuator from 'RStoughy', set and road tested, same story, 13.7 psi (peak) on the SECS with a whistling noise when i try and accelerate harder, and get no increase in boost.
Toughy did mention a similar issue he had with his escos where the Lambda was the issue, I DID have a fail on my MOT due to Lambda reading, but I put that down to the exhaust leaking at the sturbo and downpipe, which i have now fixed, but perhaps it MAY be the sensor after all. Will try a new one and see how i get on.
