My BMX had a Laid-Back Seat Post, CW Handlebars, Mushroom Grips, Beartrap Pedals and a BLING set of OGK Rims.

You HAD to use it to jump ramps made of lengths of wood that were only about 2ft long and 5 bricks high.

Daredevil stunt was to loosen the front wheel nuts, then do a wheelie, watching the wheel bugger off down the road. Normally resulted in landing it and winding yourself or crunching your bollocks on the headset.

Another cool thing was to do a Ghostie and run after the bike and catch it again.

Then I had a mongoose withthe siren that done loads of differant noises , snaped the frame on that
Was a nice bike, all chrome, used to polish it all the time

Then had a racer, bent loads of wheels on that, was shit.

Then had a mountain bike with discs, which were lethal when doing my paperround the morning of the hurricane

Then turned 17, and havent touched a bike since

I had a burner, had three finger brakes which where hard to pull back with little kid hands and spiky pedals which slamed into your shins when you went to pedal off wrong.

My neighbour had that bike and said you could get all options for that center console including a TV. Lil bastard, I believed him as well at 8 years old. He had a speedo put in so made it more convincing!

I had a green Grifter with blue handle grips that used to wear the skin off my knuckles. Also a Halfords orange BMX.

Then the MTB era with a Blue Streak 5 speed, then a black 21 speed before hitting the XC racing. Had a Trek 800 in Dry Ice Plum (pink basically! ) then a Rockhopper A1 and my now bike an S Works.

Anyone remember spoky dokey's!? Had loads on and then suddenly when they were not cool, you couldnt get them off!

Mates had a Neon Matterhorn and Marlborough MTB's. Never get away with a Marlborough bike and tabacco advertising in this day and age!!

well erm were do i start

first ever bike was a raleigh blazer , that was a 16 ins wheel bmx, yes i remember as im what ya could say into bikes

then a raligh suoertuff burner ( gold one that the gold paint came off and when chrome , then i had sooooo many more bmx's, rough list !

4 falcon pro bmx's 3 green 1 orange, snapped all frames on em , then a mongoose with race plate and my door number on it
then i wne tio skate boards/skates/roller blades THEN i started to get back i to bikes again

mountian bikes ive had are as follows in order

muddy fox path: finder, got nicked
coventry ghost : took apart to repair a fault, never got repaired
ralgigh activator 2, what a shit bike that was, started to swop parts and then
a holdsworth ( was "found " by a mate ) then some fooker nicked it when playing football
ridgeback 501
saracen ltd edition ( a mate "found " it), sold that
then i decided to build a bike, bought a ally frame for 200 quid ( no brand name), got a job in a cycle shop on saturdays and then i made the mistake !!!!

spent 2 grand on buying bits, left school and was offered to be manager of the shop so then to copngratulat me ,then bought a new frame
kona explosive, got bored and so bought a
kona kula, didnt wanna distroy it so bought a
kona fire mountian hack bike, then cracked the frame bought a new hack bike frame
kona cindercone, and to stop my breaking bikes built
a trails bike, trek with a 14ins framestill got it too
guy in a shop left his bike for over a year for repair and that was my next one
kona kiliueua (sp), was too big and so bout a
scot with tange prestige tubing, dented my kona kula frame crashing and but a
gt zasker le frame in blue as it was bomb proof , guy walked in my shop and waved 1500 qui in my face for the bike ( used to stick it on the display rack in my shop
swopped all the nice bits and sold it
bought 1 of the first 10 gt lts frames in the country !!!!!, lasted 4 months, sent back to carrati ( wankers !!!!!) to get a replacement bush sorted !!, 6 months later they gave me a new frame, sold that as it was new ,
got a canondale with formula 1 carbon rigid forks( had to buy the fooking frame too , just today i sold that frame as im gonna go back to a kona exploisive frame as thats the best bike ive ever rode

now heres the bikes i still got !!!!!, kona cindercone, kiliueua, explosive, muddyfox alu xtr, scot tange frame, fomula 1 carbon frame and forks, canondale i just sold to a buy in work for 30 quid , cant think of the rest BUT i know i got 12 bikes in total

and i at the moment am building me old kona explosive, full xtr, maguras ( just painted em bike hut orange , gonna buy the pace rc31 carbon forks and most of it is titainium

need to find a place that makes carbon or TI spokes though to rebuild my old hope Ti hubs

ill show piccys when its done, gonna try and get more into bike racing again and maybe stop the car thing a bit

any gooa bike fourms

what an excellent post!!!!
I had a Raleigh chopper.. chrushed my bollox loads of times on the sturmey archer 3 speed shifter!!!
Then went on to BMX in a big way.. rode for a team and went all round the country.
Best track bike was a Diamond back silver streak with those bendy ACS z rims on(always smashing hubs ans sticking spokes through the inner tubes!)
then went into freestyle and had a DP freestyler and then a Haro freestyler.
oh such happy days!!

i had a geek of the bike world come in my shop on friday, he was a right nutter, had a new chopper, was talking about how good they was and hes rebuilding one and its totally original and then i tell him what i done 8 years ago,

took oer a cycle shop in seven sisters road as manager and seen 3 choppers hanging up in the repair rack, been there over 2 years, 1 had not even been repaied yet buit had been there 6 years

i just bought my first angle grinder 2 weeks before, guess what happened next

choppered the choopers in tiny bits , they guy called me a heartless coont , all cause i was laughing, not gonna tell him about the budgie races me and the bike team i rode with had

what a total cock he was, made me fill in the service book for a puncture repair

hes was a proper head case , he was a guy who prob had a crush on his sister when he was growing up
