zetec cam timing
need a little advise
just changed head gasket on my 1.8 16v silvertop zetec and had to remove cams to get to head bolts now i need to do the timing
got piston 1 to tdc by lining the 2nd notch on the crank pulley to the mark on sump but now need to sort cams out
never removed cam pulleys so should they still need timeing or would they just fit straight back into place and timing be ok
hope you can help

Both the cams are timed up by fitting a flat locking bar into the slots on the ends of the cams near the ignition coil, you can get a 6mm thick file to do the same job as couldn't find the tool i had the last time i changed a belt so used a file i had lying about and worked spot on !
