bob has stonger bottom end but needs the boa management adapting to get it to run annd has a weak chain
Boa is fine IMO but does have issues with the chain tensioner

ive been told that the inlet on the 24v is restricted to around 350bhp is there a way around it

Personally i think your better off with a BOA but if your ECU can control the secondaries go down the BOB route. I think the BOB engines are i little bit trickery to fit though, don't the oil pipes/oil filter get in the way?

Get to 350bhp first, then go for a custom manifold. BOA and BOBs have different inlets on them, which one are you talking about?
