Default Has anyone ever driven a 911(996)GT2?

Just wondering what they are like, as they have a reputation of bring a right handful/ widowmaker?

they are and they arent, driven propperly they are perfect, trouble is people push them too hard and they bite back, depending on tyre spec give different warning

like any car, respect it and it will respect you, just give these a bit more lol

beautifly well balanced cars and very quick!

As said above ive heard there rep isnt as bad in real life, but you do need to treat them with respect. A geo set up by Center of Gravity or Parr is ment to transform them.

they are a great car to drive and handle really well but push them that little bit over the limit and they will bite you in the arse as i learned when coming out of a roundabout backwards in my cousins after going for a ten minute spin thankfully the only thing damaged was my pride!

seriously nice looking motor; but i have heard the horror stories too; but i've never driven one so this post is pretty useless!

The 993 911 gt2 is the widow maker, the newer ones are allegedly more civilised.

Was Chatin a guy in a resterant in america, he said he uses a gt2 wc as his daily, didn't belive him till he showed me it in the car park!, I didn't take the spin in it

Just interesting, as the prices at the moment are relativly low, quite a few people recon they will ramp up again the next few years...

my mate has one and he uses it for everyday and for track days etc...

very capable car and very fast.

he has 19" wheels with sticky tyres so its not too bad for grip.

he sold his 500 and parts he had to get one and he has never looked back.
