The Ultimas are poo out of the box, compared how they SHOULD handle 
. Ahmed is building a twin turboed AJP8 engined one and has been measuring all the geometry etc - apparantly he was shocked at how poor it is from the factory 
- it's going to require quite a bit of re-engineering to get it right .
They do look good though

You need to mate..as we all know you run a std T5 (well until recently if you changed for a proper box at last ) and we all know that it will break if you got a genuine 600bhp..which you say you been through a few by putting your foot down...so your engine aint properly tested...only that it is stronger than a T5 std box!..Which is only rated to 330 ft lbs torque aint it?

they have made one with twin turboed hyabusia engines, its 1000 bhp and only 1000 kilos,

Puts your ass dyno into perspective dont it..seeing as you can only be running max @ 530bhp to hold the gears together.....cor thats a real test of engineering.....i think personally i will wait till you get a proper box and to some proper testing before i say that you can build a proper engine

If I had wanted 700 peak Power off Nitrous Mark could supply that but it would not have been as nice to drive or as quick on the road.
My old conversion held the RWD Topspeed record with bugger all Power cos it had lots of Torque.
To do 200mph at Brunters in a full weight Saff requires around 700bhp at the revs that allow 200mph, Peak must be Higher, but to acclerate to 200 in 30s ( or run out of road) takes Huge Torque across the range. On Nitrous I have well over 600ft/lb from 4.2k to past 7.5k peaking around 650ft/lb.
750bhp/650ft/lb off Nitrous would be difficult to obtain in a road engine.
Hope this explains my reasons for doing what I did, much soul searching & 40 years of driving fast cars went into my Final Spec, but im 100% sure it was the correct one,

Why do people have to use this particular aspect to try and take away what Rod has achieved with his car?
Rods done 198. something MPH anyway, so hes personally driven faster than 99.5% of people on this forum, including myself, and with his mature years (no offence intended Rod) i find that fooking incredible TBH... so i dont see where people are going with this line of questioning that ALWAYS pops up...

Or could it be that his balls just aint that touch big enough, Mark has said previously that he intends to stop doing top speed runs due to the possible dangers (throwing a shaft etc) at 180+ in a taxi = muchos pain, and there aint much joy in that.
